jitter and ragdoll

I have created a simple doll with arms and legs (revolute joints).
Trouble is, once the doll has been launched (that's my game) and lands on the ground, it keeps on moving (jitters): so it never sleeps.

Is there a way to avoid this perpetual movement, jitters ?

Same happens with TestBed.swf demo and with wck demo (buoyancy)
I tried setting b2Settings.b2_velocityThreshold or change the joints and body part properties such as mass with no success.
Any clue ?

it also happens in my game sometimes when the body makes a 'bridge'. anyways i would check all the bodies linear/angular velocity and if it's smaller then 'something small' after a second just force sleep on it. experiment with the values.
