how to capture event(s) triggered by collision of objects

I am trying to do a game and we are so much pleased to use box2djs since all the newtonian laws are taken care by this library and we need to worry about just the design and logic of the game at a higher level. We were trying to figure out if there is a way for us to capture an event that gets triggered by collision of objects basically like keeping track of points and showing some destructions and the alike. any help would be appreciated. thnx J
