Re: RayCastCallback ray sometimes goes trough first fixture.

Returning zero means that the ray is now zero length, so all subsequent raycasts will encounter nothing. You should be returning the fraction value, to clip the ray to the point where it hit the fixture.

Re: Problems with Iforce2D car physics

As you've discovered, if you're serious about making a driving game, with nice drifting and countersteer, that method is not much use. I wasn't expecting it to be so "not fun" when I started making the tutorial :) Then I didn't see any reason not to make it public after writing it - I mean...

Re: Displaying world/accessing loaded from b2djson in Proces

This seems more like a processing question than a Box2D question. Do you know how to draw a box, or some lines etc, in processing? The easiest way to get started would probably be to make a 'debug draw' implementation for processing. You can read about how debug draw works in the Box2D manual http:/...

Re: Dynamic objects passing through static objects

You are looking at the debug draw display right? There doesn't seem to be anything obviously wrong with this code, although I would advise storing the boxes in a vector of StackBox* rather than StackBox. I would guess the problem is somewhere else, other than in this code you've shown so far. For ex...

Re: Does a shape intersect with an Axis Aligned box?

You can set fixtures to be sensors if you don't want them to have any collision response.

Re: Box2d platformer and slopes

...the player jumps slightly in the air when going up/down slopes or when reach the top of the slopes. Seems pretty realistic to me - otherwise we would not have any 'extreme sports' :) Unfortunately, I think the only way to avoid this properly is the way it is done in real life - as you approach t...
